Nwamaka Agbo

Her work with these community driven projects led her to providing trainings and advisory services to donors, foundations and impact investment firms including institutions like The San Francisco Foundation and RSF Social Finance. Nwamaka has served as a fellow for the Center for Economic Democracy and the Movement Strategy Center. She proudly serves on the board of Thousand Currents, Restore Oakland, Inc. and Resource Generation. She graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and African American Studies and holds a Master's of Public Administration specializing in Financial Management from San Francisco State University. To relax and unwind, Nwamaka enjoys spending quiet time in her Oakland backyard savoring sips of bourbon.

Allison Clements

Commissioner Clements has served as a federal energy expert in several capacities, including as a member of a National Academies of Sciences committee on grid resilience, as co-chair of the Bipartisan Policy Center's electric grid initiative, and as a clinical visiting lecturer at Yale Law School. Commissioner Clements grew up in Dayton, Ohio. She has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School.

Ayana Elizabeth Johnson

Dr. Johnson earned a BA from Harvard University in environmental science and public policy, and a Ph.D. from Scripps Institution of Oceanography in marine biology. She publishes widely, including in The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and Time, and she blogs on Scientific American. She was named one of Elle's 27 Women Leading on Climate. Outside Magazine called her "the most influential marine biologist of our time." Her mission is to build community around solutions to our climate crisis. Find her @ayanaeliza.

In this role, she worked closely with landowners, local partners and local community members to assist in the development of several wind farms across the U.S. E'Lon spent a considerable amount of her early career working for several non-profit organizations including Fordham Bedford Children's Services and Communication for Social Change Consortium and serving underserved populations and communities. E'Lon has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Washington and Lee University and a Master's degree in Urban Studies from CUNY Queens College.

Professionally, she has been featured in several publications for her energy regulatory expertise, including Public Utilities Fortnightly, Solar Power World, Crain's Chicago Business and the Chicago Daily Herald. She has been awarded for her leadership, diversity, and mentorship efforts, including as a Top 40 Under 40 Emerging Leader by Energy News Network, a Top 100 Under 50 Executive Leader by Diversity MBA Magazine, a Trailblazer and Emerging Leader in the law by the Black Women Lawyers' Association of Greater Chicago, Inc. and with the Honorable A. Leon Higginbotham Jr. Award by the National Bar Association. Nakhia earned her B.S. in Journalism/Mass Communications from North Carolina A&T State University and her J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, CA. She is a 2020 Fellow of the Chicago Urban League and University of Chicago Booth School of Business IMPACT Executive Leadership Development Program.

Daisy Dowling

To date, she is the author of 16 articles in Harvard Business Review magazine, and serves as Series Editor for HBR's Working Parents collection of books. In addition, she has written on leadership and work/life topics in the New York Times, Washington Post, and Journal of Applied Corporate Finance. Additionally, she and her work have been featured in the Financial Times, the Sunday Times (UK), the Wall Street Journal online, and on Forbes.com. She earned her B.A. from Brown University and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. A proud working parent herself, Daisy lives in New York City with her (working-dad) husband and two young children.

Sherina Edwards

Prior to joining the firm, Sherina served a five-year term on the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC), making her the youngest commissioner ever appointed in the state of Illinois. While she served as commissioner, she was involved with the National Association for Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), serving as the Chair of the Subcommittee on Pipeline Safety as well as Chair of the Subcommittee on Supplier and Workforce Diversity and as a member of the Committee on Gas, with previous service on the Water Committee. In 2016, Sherina was appointed by President Barack Obama and U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Anthony Foxx as Co-Chair of the U.S. Department of Transportation's Voluntary Information-Sharing System Working Group, which was created in accordance with the Pipelines Hazardous and Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) guidelines, where she provided recommendations to the Secretary of Transportation on information-sharing matters and best practices for the protection of proprietary and security-sensitive information. Having founded both the Women's Energy Summit and the Women's Energy Network of Chicago as well as having strong influence over the creation of the Illinois Utilities Business Diversity Council and the ICC's Office of Diversity and Community Affairs, Sherina is nationally recognized for being a champion for diversity and inclusion within the utility and energy space. In addition to several civic boards, Sherina sits on the Board of Directors for SouthWest Water Company. Sherina is a cum laude graduate of Spelman College where she received her B.A. in Psychology and a graduated of Howard University School of Law where she was a merit scholar.

Under her leadership, the group built a portfolio of investments dedicated to the renewable energy and sustainable resources sector. The portfolio consisted of investments via debt, equity, tax equity instruments and ownership of assets and portfolios of assets. As part of her role and responsibilities, Ms. Goyal has spoken at several industry conferences including the Goldman Sachs Sustainable Finance Innovation Forum. She has held several board and committee positions including the boards of Vivint Solar and the American Council of Renewable Energy and the investment committees at Altus Power and Goldman Sachs' Americas Special Situations Group. Prior to 2005, Ms. Goyal was part of the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs. Ms. Goyal is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Wharton School and a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Computer and Cognitive Science from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Lauren Haller

Prior to joining Pattern Energy, Lauren worked at Hess Corporation as Legal Counsel where she provided legal and commercial advice to Global Supply Chain (Onshore, Offshore, Midstream & Information Technology) and Global Services (Real Estate & Human Resources) business units. Prior to Hess, Lauren worked at ConocoPhillips Company ("ConocoPhillips") as a Technology and Intellectual Property Attorney. While at ConocoPhillips, Lauren managed an international patent portfolio where she prepared, filed, prosecuted and maintained strategic patents worldwide involving liquified natural gas, unconventional resources, artic, deepwater and oil sands technologies. Lauren earned both of her degrees from the University of Oklahoma - receiving a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with honors (cum laude) and a Juris Doctorate. Lauren is licensed to practice law in Texas, New York and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Lauren is involved in a number of professional and civic organizations including serving on the Board of Directors for the Association of Corporate Counsel - Houston Chapter; serving on the University of Oklahoma's Dean's Advisory Board on Diversity; a United Way of Greater Houston Project Blueprint Alumni; a Houston Young Lawyers Association Leadership Academy Alumni; and a member of the Houston (TX) Chapter of the Links, Inc.

Chris Hill

Chris is currently a board member for Trout Unlimited and Alaska Wilderness League, a member of the Leadership Team for Artemis Sportswomen, an ambassador for WeGotNext, a member of the Green Leadership Trust and is a Sierra Club Outings leader (leading fly fishing trips in Alaska). In 2019, Chris partnered with The Outbound Collective to tell her story on the water. In her spare time, she loves traveling the world, frequenting the many Austin, Texas running trails, listening to audio books, and video calls with family and friends.

Susan Nickey

Prior to Threshold, Ms. Nickey was the chief financial officer of ACCIONA Energy North America from 2007-2010 and was a managing director of investment banking in the project finance group of Mesirow Financial before that. She currently serves as interim treasurer on the transition board of the American Clean Power Association and is a member of the board of directors for the American Council of Renewable Energy (ACORE). Additionally, Ms. Nickey is a member of the President's Council at Ceres, a non-profit sustainability advocacy organization. Ms. Nickey is a frequent speaker at renewable energy events, particularly on topics related to capital markets and financing trends for clean energy, including wind, solar, and storage. She was recognized as the Woman of the Year at the 2020 Cleanie Awards and has been named to the North American Power List of the 100 most influential individuals in the wind industry for three consecutive years. Ms. Nickey holds a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Science in foreign service from Georgetown University.

In these positions, Meghan has worked on, advocated for, and impacted a significant number of energy and environment-related issues and policies. She has been named one of the #Solar100 thought leaders in the U.S. and one of the Denver Business Journal's top women in energy for 2018. She was also a candidate for the Colorado House of Representatives in 2017-18. Meghan received her BA in Biology from Cornell University and her MPA from Princeton University.

Melanie is an attorney licensed to practice law in Maryland and has worked to advance clean energy policy for over a decade, leading regulatory and legislative affairs at a number of organizations. In 2015, she was named one of Maryland's Leading Women by The Daily Record. In 2018, she won the prestigious C3E Award for Clean Energy Advocacy. In 2019, she won a WRISE Honor for her work in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in clean energy. In 2020, she was named one of Maryland's Top 100 Women by The Daily Record. Among other publications, she is a co-author of the Low-Income Solar Policy Guide, www.lowincomesolar.org, a comprehensive tool for policymakers, community leaders and others who are working to make solar accessible and equitable.

She began working on energy justice issues after serving as a civil rights and whistleblower rights attorney at one of the nation's leading civil rights litigation firms. Nicole has been featured in such publications as Forbes, CleanTechnica, PV Magazine, Solar Power World and the AFRO. Nicole serves on the Board of Directors of Solar United Neighbors, the Steering Committee of Interfaith Power & Light, DMV and the Advisory Committee of Black Owners of Solar Services. Nicole earned her B.A. at Yale University and J.D. at Boston University School of Law.

She is a sought after expert on environmental justice and has been quoted in a number of publications including the New York Times and the Washington Post. In addition to her environmental work, Kerene has worked in many political arenas but is most proud of helping to elect New York State Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins, the first African American to represent the city of Yonkers in the State Senate and the first woman in New York State history to lead a conference in Albany, NY. She is a member of many organizations and associations, including the world's largest and most influential sorority founded for Black women, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Anne, a cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, has practiced law and written extensively on the topic of women and the workforce, including co-authoring the best-selling Mass Career Customization: Aligning the Workplace With Today's Nontraditional Workforce. Dr. Wright received the 2003 Distinguished Alumni Award from the State University of New York, Buffalo, the Robert Wood Johnson Community Health Leadership Award in 2006, the 2008 EPA Environmental Justice Achievement Award, the Rainbow PUSH Coalition 2008 Community Award, the Ford Motor Company's Freedom's Sisters Award in July of 2009, the prestigious 2009 Heinz Award as well as the 2010 Beta Kappa Chi Humanitarian Assistance Award bestowed by the National Institute of Science and the Conrad Arensberg Award given by the Society for the Anthropology of Work in 2010. Additionally, she was also recognized by the Grios as one of its 100 History Makers in the Making in 2010. She has also received the Urban Affairs Association's SAGE Activist Scholar Award in May of 2011. She is the author of numerous scholarly books and articles. She co-authored Race, Place & the Environment After Hurricane Katrina from Westview Press, and The Wrong Complexion for Protection: How The Government Response Endangers African-American Communities from New York University. She received a BA from Grambling College and an MA and Ph.D. from State University of New York at Buffalo.

She has held CFO positions in technology and consumer focused MedTech firms where she led both the finance and the administrative functions. In this role she managed relationships with board members and investors and was on point for significant rounds of investment. Jackie has also served as a consulting CFO to organizations seeking to grow their cash positions. Earlier in her career, Jackie was Director of Strategy & Planning at Hewlett-Packard Company. There she developed the operating plans, budgets and performance measurements for a $600M software organization and directly managed 100 employees in the US, Germany, Israel and China. Jackie received her MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and worked as a CPA for a NY public accounting firm. She also taught finance as an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University.
